Key Updates – September 30, 2025
Construction Progress Phase One of the project remains on track for substantial completion by March 2026.
Roof Work The roofing crew has mobilized on-site and is progressing quickly. All shingle underlayment has been installed over the main roof truss system. Shingle installation is underway, with work expected to shift to the lower roofs once the main shingles are completed next week. Roof penetrations for mechanical and plumbing systems are being coordinated. Crews are marking out all required openings for vent piping, kitchen exhaust, mechanical piping, wind turbines, roof caps, and roof curbs for HVAC units. Roof drains will be placed as part of this phase.
Slab on Grade Preparation Ground floor subbase preparation is ongoing. On Tuesday, September 30, crews are scheduled to begin: • Installing the vapor barrier and rigid insulation across the slab area • Setting trench drains in the apparatus bay, showers, and the unisex toilet (with shower) • Preparing the area for: o Radiant heating tubing (materials are already onsite) o Plumbing floor drains o Electrical conduits required for slab embedments These steps are in advance of the slab pour, which remains targeted for early October.
Exterior Framing Sheathing is nearly complete on the north perimeter of the building. Crews are actively working on roof sheathing and framing on the west side to prepare for upcoming brickwork.
Framing & Labor Coordination Additional carpenters have been requested to maintain progress on second-floor framing. Labor remains in high demand due to peak-season conditions, especially for masonry and mechanical trades.
